- The first thing that was stressed during the webinar was to develop a solid creative process even before you touch the computer. Drawing is a great way to work through your ideas before you put anything on the computer. This will make your design better.
- The next thing to do is to make documents of the same size in both Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Also, using smart objects by copying an item from Illustrator and bringing it in as a smart object makes working with those items much easier. Smart objects are imbeded into Illustrator as a vector file.
- Another thing that is useful with a smart object in photoshop is that you can double click it to link it and edit it in Illustrator. The sources file, however, will not match it.
- Lastly, you can create a new action by recording everything you do and then you can reuse that action multiple times.

Chanel Logo
The Chanel logo
incorporates both their symbol and text. They also use just the symbol as their
logo. It is recognizable by any fashionable person. Simplistic and black, it
embodies everything Coco Chanel’s design aesthetic was about.

Drop Cap/Hanging Indent
Drop cap, in desktop publishing, is when the first letter of the first word of a paragraph is larger than all other letters to "drop" down two or more lines. Drop cap is often seen at the beginning of novel when the top of the first letter of the first word lines up with the top of the first sentence and drops down to the four or fifth sentence.
Hanging indent in word processing is when all other lines but the first are indented. Hanging indent is also known as a hanging paragraph.

Ilustrator
Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor. It has some similarities to Photoshop but in my opinion is easier to become familiar with. It is mainly used for graphic logos and typesetting.
