This Tommy Hilfiger is an example of a lifestyle
advertisement. It shows young people, probably college students, “studying” by the
pool while looking trendy. The target audience is either college or high school
students that would fall under the category of household consumers. This
advertisement is deceptive by no means because this is what most students do
when they get together to study. I would add a line, body copy, and tagline
because there is absolutely no print to tell the consumer what is being
advertised. One would assume that it would be clothes but the brand is not
clear.
Wonderful analysis! This is definitely a lifestyle advertisement! I also agree that the ad would be stronger if it had some text. Perhaps in the area of the umbrella?
